On Saturday 16th October, Cray Valley operated GB2RE from Severndroog Castle on the top of Shooters Hill as part of Jamboree on the Air. Scouts and Guides exchanged greetings messages with other Scouts and Guides and with radio hams in the UK and as far away as the USA. The young people also learned how to send their name in Morse Code, and participated in Radio Direction Finding activities in the grounds surrounding the Castle.

The station was active on 80, 40 and 20m from this elevated site.This JOTA station was run in conjunction with Severndroog Venture Scouts and Greenwich District Scouts.
